Farm

Hacienda Sonora is located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, at the foot of the world-famous Poas Volcano. The farm covers approximately 100 hectares, consisting of 65 hectares of shaded and unshaded coffee trees, and 35 hectares of wild forest. The average altitude is 1200 meters above sea level. Their coffee grows in an environment surrounded by exotic trees, providing excellent quality conditions, while also enhancing the composition of the already rich volcanic soil. Due to the farm's diverse ecosystem, many different species of birds and animals seek shelter on this land.

Sustainability

The energy on the farm is exclusively generated by a Pelton water turbine installed in a nearby river, making it "100% green energy."
