Filtration Technology:

These filters feature a smooth, crepe-free inner surface, minimizing the internal surface area. Fine coffee particles adhere to this surface, reducing water flow paths and allowing water to pool initially, which enhances the extraction of rich coffee aromas. Meanwhile, the outer crepe structure ensures a consistent, steady flow during brewing.

The high-density paper effectively captures fine particles, resulting in a clean, crisp cup with exceptional aromatic clarity.

The CAFEC brand was introduced to the market as an original product of Sanyo Sangyo.

Sanyo Sangyo Co., Ltd was founded in 1973 as a manufacturer of synthetic coffee equipment and has been continuously evolving ever since. We are the first manufacturer in the world to develop a cone-shaped paper filter, and our flagship product, the "coffee paper filter," has been supplied to markets both in Japan and internationally for many years.

The founder and CEO, Shigeji Nakatsuka, has extensive experience in coffee roasting and alternative brewing methods. He aimed to optimize paper filters for different roast levels, which led to the development of "double-sided crepe" coffee filters that regulate the flow of water and air. Thanks to their design and surface structure, the space between the filter and the dripper is perfectly suited for light, medium, and dark roasted coffee.
