The coffee from the Cambrifol cooperative is our second direct import from our trusted farmers. This allows us to offer it at a great price without compromising on quality.

This coffee has a full body, with noticeable notes of dark grapes, caramel, and chocolate. When brewed as a filter, it has an interesting, delicate, well-balanced acidity that supports the sweetness. For espresso, it brings out more caramel, cocoa, and subtle red fruit notes.

Remember to choose the type: Filter or Espresso.

Combrifol

Almost all members of Combrifol – "Cooperativa Mixta Regional Brisas de la Frontera Limitada" – are indigenous Lenca people. On average, members cultivate between 1 and 4 hectares of coffee, corn, beans, and fruits. The cooperative offers numerous workshops and training in social sectors, as well as in organic farming and cultivation practices.

Producents

Some of the coffee producers live in Nahuaterique, a border region with El Salvador, which is poor and neglected in terms of infrastructure. This area has a very particular history, the consequences of which the residents still suffer from: it was originally part of El Salvador, but in 1992, by a ruling of the International Court of Justice, it was annexed to Honduras. As a result, the region became one that the Honduran state didn't feel truly responsible for, and after many years of civil war, it had very little functioning infrastructure. For example, water and electricity supply are insufficient, and children’s access to schooling is not always guaranteed. We have been working with Combrifol since 2016, and together, we improve the quality of coffee every year.
